Run, don’t walk to Pupuseria Cafe! I ordered To-Go and sat at a table to wait for it to be made. The atmosphere is very friendly and the patrons all looked to be enjoying themselves and their meals. That made me even more eager to try the food! I was offered complimentary tortilla chips with 3 different sauces, each one better than the next! My order was well packed with foil inside styrofoam containers and they kept warm during my trip from Garfield Ridge to Berwyn. My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed the pupusas! All were quite large and generously filled. The fried platanos had crispy edges with tender, sweet middles. I will definitely be returning to Pupuseria Cafe!

The restaurant is very simple. The food is made to order. It was so good. I ordered 2 pupusas of beans and could only finish 1. It was nice and hot when we got our food. Parking is hard to find so be advised. BE ADVISED THEY CHARGE 18% GRATUITY FOR 3 AND MORE PEOPLE dine in.

Overall, I loved this place! The staff was friendly but seemed a little distracted. Omgsh, and the pupusas were from another world!!! Along with their hot sauce, super delicious! Highly recommend. They do have other menu options such as tacos, but I don't think this place is vegan friendly.

This tiny place is easy to miss. But if you find your way in you will be very happy you did! I fell in love with El Salvadorian food after I visited the country a few years ago. This place may not be fancy but the food is delicious, homemade and freshly prepared! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great service, and we all enjoyed trying the pupusas - we had several kinds and thought they were delicious. I hadn't had them before, so I can't comment on how authentic they were, but I really liked this place. The prices were very cheap, too. So I am glad we stopped. We had bean and zucchini and cheese pupusas, among others, (all good) and I also tried a Salvadoran Horchata, which was interesting - a chocolate flavor, with a strong nutty taste. I like to try new things. I think I do prefer the style of horchata I have tried before, which is the Mexican style, but that's just personal taste.

This is one of my favorite restaurants on the south side of the city. Their food is exceptional. I order the quesadilla, the pupusa de asada, the crepe of strawberry marmalade and the plantains fritos which is my typical order. The service was quick and everything was fresh and delicious.
